Today was a totally unplanned day and it turned out to be so much fun! We took the ferry across the Bay to Tambor. We saw a turtle in the ocean swimming on our way!
In paquera, we boarded a local bus that was so full we had to stand. A young girl let Apryl sit on the seat with her. We arrived at a Reserve called Curu and were left off at the entrance to the park. The park is a private property that Costa Rica has turned into a reserve for the wildlife and fauna of this beautiful country.
After the 2 k we had seen horses running free, millions of butterflies, deer, crabs, heard but couldn´t see parakeets, and finally made it to the beach! We were sweaty and were in need of a swim so we went right in. It was so beautiful and warm!
We were invited to go on a small boat out to the Isla Tortuga and we decided to go! We got fitted for our snorkel gear and jumped on the boat and went! Apryl and I snorkled together with a couple from Spain. We saw absolutely beautiful fish that we took pictures of on our water camera (so you have to wait for our pictures).
We then went to the beach and of course I got super sunburned on my face. My forehead is red like a hot poker in a fire! But we had the time of our life!
On the way back Apryl performed with the local ferry entertainment dancing and doing splits and stuff on the deck! She was having so much fun. We got home and drove directly to Gabby´s where now Apryl is playing with Maria Fernanda who she has been anxious to meet. She returned last night so this is their first meeting. They are now at a zumba class. My kid is going to sleep good tonight!
